Crackdown on Drug Manufacturers in Three Provinces: 397.5 Kilos of Drugs Seized

Simultaneous operation in three major cities
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that a total of 397.5 kilograms of narcotics were seized in three separate operations against drug manufacturers in Istanbul, Van and Izmir. The operations were carried out under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the General Directorate of Security's Anti-Narcotics Crimes Department.
 
4 suspects detained
Four suspects were caught and detained in the operations carried out by the Provincial Police Departments and the police units in the relevant districts. The operations were concentrated in the Tuzla, Esenyurt and Konak districts.
 
Drugs explained by type
The items seized during the operations were shared with the public in detail:
 
    220.5 kilograms of heroin,
 
    126 kilograms of bonsai,
 
    51 kilograms of methamphetamine,
 
    15.5 kilograms of liquid chemicals.
 
A message of determination from Minister Yerlikaya
Minister Ali Yerlikaya emphasized in his statement that the fight against drugs is not only a matter of security but also the protection of future generations. Yerlikaya said, “We do not allow drug dealers to open their eyes. We do not allow them to darken the future of our children.”
