Erdogan: 'We will walk patiently until we reach the goal of a century of non-violent Türkiye'

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his speech at the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, stated that they will continue their determined stance against violence against women. Erdoğan said, “We will patiently walk on this path until we reach the goal of a century of Türkiye without violence, which does not allow violence against women in any way.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his wife Emine Erdoğan attended the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women Program held at the Beştepe National Congress and Culture Center. Speaking at the program, Erdoğan gave important messages on women's rights and the fight against violence.
 
In his speech, Erdoğan emphasized that violence against women is unacceptable in any way, and said, “Those who use violence against women, mothers, wives and daughters, who discriminate, who marginalize women or exclude them from life, have no right to talk about human, conscientious or sacred values.”

'There is hypocrisy regarding violence against women'
 
Stating that they are acting with determination in the fight against violence against women, Erdoğan also touched on the rights violations that occurred in the past. “We have taken and are taking all kinds of precautions to prevent February 28th from happening again in this country and to prevent women from being subjected to similar bullying, and we will take all kinds of precautions if necessary from now on,” he said.
 
Stating that a hypocritical attitude is being displayed regarding women's rights, Erdoğan stated that separatist terrorist organizations exploit women and said, "If not a single sentence is uttered about those who attempt to kill women, those who forcibly abduct our young girls to the mountains, and those who forcibly send them to die and be killed, then there is great hypocrisy."
